Hijab & The City - Editorial Covertime Magazine

Habitually, I always go for the simplest outfit. I believe simplicity is one of the fundamental principle of the Modest Fashion. Yet, it was fun to play the Sophisticated Fashionista in New-York role for the time of the shooting. In fact, Najmah, photographer and graphic designer, knew exactly how to reveal my sudden Olivia Palermo side.

So much that the people around were asking who I was. Depending on the situation, I can be very shy but I focused and went on with the shooting because the real objective here was to put in perspective the hijab and the typical New York scene with the cliche coffee/shoes addict working woman.
If you want to stand out from the crowd next cold season, you can invest in this unique Rose Faux Fur Coat from Cheyma. The desert vibe produced by the original « sheep » fur visual effect enhanced by the hand-embroidered shoulders made of this coat my favorite piece of the collection. Wearing black to complete the look seemed to be an evidence and the hat balanced the voluminous coat accordingly.
Cheyma is a multicultural fashion designer and she blends with ease her West and East influences. She expresses it in her latest collection named « Whimsy Canyon ». The Collection combines a refined aesthetic, inspired by the Sahara desert, with the eccentricity of the Wild West Canyons. Available on the e-boutique late March, the collection was officially presented during New York Fashion Week in February 2016.

Faux fur coat, deep red lipstick and a tad of showing off to complete the character. I don't know for you, but I think that I'm ready for a Breakfast at Tiffany's theme :)
