BaselWorld O'Clock

4.25.2016

Baselworld is the trade show of the international watch and jewellery industry. Named differently over the years the history started small in 1925 when the Schweizer Mustermesse (Swiss watch show) invited several watch manufacturers. Since then  it grew prodigiously to become the number one gathering for all the serious whatchnakers in the world. Every brand wether it’s a fashion brand or a famous long lasting luxury watch, every one was there, displaying each piece like art.

Although I like my watches as simple as my scarves, I like to discover new trends that either, confirm my fondness for simplicity or grow my admiration for little details that make masterpieces. In this matter, Baselworld doesn't  disappoint. As soon as you pass through the doors of the fair, you know it’s going to be a symphony of luxury : opening ceremony with current member of the Swiss Federal Council, Mrs Simonetta Sommaruga, presence of Nicolas Hayek, a few jokes from Jean-Claude Biver amongst other stories and a sumptuous and minimalistic decor.

My top 3 watches:
#3 Tag Heuer Connected
#2 Swarovski - City White Armband Watch
#1 Rolex: Oyster Perpetual
Picture, selfie moment with Ascia, gorgeous fashion blogger from Kuwait. Does she need any introduction though ? Genuienly one of the kindest blogger I ever met.

For the occasion, I’m wearing a Benetton jumpsuit that has a slight slit in the back and no sleeves. Layering can be complicated but not this time. Luckily, the top of the jumpsuit is flowly enough to be able to integrate a white silk shirt without having a contrast problem. To finish the look, I went for a red scarf.

Jumpsuit: Benetton
Vest: H&M
Shirt: H&M
Bag: C&A

Modestly yours,
Y'
